Wills
Description
Did you know that only half of Canadians have a will? The percentage is even lower for adults aged 35-54: only 3 in 10 have one. Yet not having a will can cause problems for loved ones when someone passes away, regardless of age.
The Wills workshop explains the importance of a will – and the consequences of dying without one – through the fictional stories of two twins who both die in their 40s. One had a will, and another did not. The workshop explains what a will is, how to make one, and what happens if a person dies without a will.
Note: The Wills workshop is an introductory workshop on the legal aspects of wills and successions. It is not intended for people who are already knowledgeable about the topic and wish to further their knowledge.
